Benjamin Comes Home

The hospital stay was a quick one, which is what Emily and I prefered. I mean this is our second child, we are veterans right? Actually we missed having Alex around and we were anxious to get home and figure out how to function with another little boy. Alex had a hard time adjusting to Benjamin being around. When Benjamin would cry Alex would get really worried and start to cry, but Alex is starting to get used to Benjamin's cries.

Benjamin Arrives

We know this post is a couple months late, but we still wanted to post the photos of our newest addition. Benjamin Edward was born July 14th at 8:58 am. Emily & I arrived at the hospital around 3:30am and when Benjamin made up his mind that he was going to come out, he did. He is a perfect healthy little boy weighing in at 8lb even and stretching the tape to 19 3/4 in.

Work/Family Trip to Cali

March of 2008 was a tough month for the Podborny family. Jeremy's new job has required occasional travel, but March consisted of 4 work weeks in El Segundo, California returning on weekends. Not only is it tough to be away from home for such a long extent, Emily and Alex had to manage at home with Jeremy. But one week we decided to have the whole family spend the week in California. We all enjoyed the change of scenery and had a lot of fun. Emily and Alex got a chance to go to the beach, play at the park, and visit some friends. Of course, we had to take advantage of the trip, by taking an extra day to visit Hollywood, where we walked the Boulevard, saw the stars, and took pictures in front of the sign.

Cancer Climb

Each year Emily and I like to join some good friends for a good cause. In February, hundreds of people walk up the main road to the top of South Mountain. Last year Alex was a pretty young, so he slept in the stroller the whole way down, but this year he was a little more active. He enjoyed running down the steet following the yellow dashed lines.
